Probably the most glamorous of all Lilies, with very large flowers that are usually highly perfumed. The colours tend to be quite soft, and the height of the flower stems is very varied. Although the majority of varieties in this section make quite tall stems, there is also a race of much smaller growers. Oriental Lilies are best grown in containers with a good peaty compost, although they can make good garden Lilies in sheltered coniditons with a good peaty soil.

 Acapulco 100cm's
This is a newer variety of Oriental Lily, with very strong habits. The large pointed flowers are a uniform deep rose pink with a satin like sheen and prominent rusty red anthers. Good fragrance and with flowers that last well in good condition.

 Hot Lips 80cm's
A little later flowering, often waiting until August to flower, this is a shorter grower with extremely large light pearly-pink to white flowers, each petal dominated by a broad raspberry blaze and speckled with deep red dots. Very fragrant.
